Lynn Youth Health Alliance is offering a mini-grant opportunity for youth-initiated projects in Lynn that align with our mission of making Lynn a healthier......
The Lynn Youth Health Alliance (LYHA) is a cohort of Lynn high school students that seek to create positive change in their community’s health and food environment. Led by our Youth Leadership coordinator, Bridget Peters, LYHA creates youth-driven projects to engage the student community around food and health, including peer-to-peer health nutrition, food drives, and more!
School Food Advisory Council:
Piloted this year in partnership with Chartwells and Lynn Public School, LYHA and interested youth from other community youth groups, and the broader student body, meet quarterly with Chartwells dietitian, Kelsey Massis, to create greater understanding of school food in Lynn, offer student feedback about meals served (via focus groups and a student-created survey,) and engage more with the menu planning process.
